Help wanted!
From stuffing dolls, cutting fabric, to sewing and embroidering, there are several ways that you can get involved!
Stuffing
Every so often, we host Stuffing Parties where we stuff dolls and cut fabric. Stuffing and cutting are great ways to contribute if you do't own a sewing machine or don't know how to sew.
Our secret to maximize the huggable-ness of the dolls is to stuff them tight while avoiding compressed balls of stuffing.
Sewing
This is the creative bit: sewing. We are always in need of people with sewing machines to make fun outfits for the dolls. You can contact us for patterns and ideas.
Since these dolls are going to children of all ages and situations, we ask to keep the clothing free from choking hazards such as buttons.
Embroidering
If you like to embroider, appliques are always fun to include on overalls or pajama onesies. We keep the appliques small, approximately 1.5 x 1.5 inches, to make sure there's room for it on the outfit. Daisies, dinosaurs, butterflies and baseballs, get creative with fun applique designs!
Donations
We also accept monetary donations and donations of supplies. We ask that fabrics and supplies are new, unused, and appropriate for doll clothing.
The health and safety of those receiving the dolls are the highest priority, so please ensure that the dolls, clothes, and materials are clean and free from any pests, allergens, smoke, animal dander, or other health hazards.
